The Weekly Update for January 27

Hey guys, Cdog here, and it has been a little while. First of all, I have only uploaded one video since, which is the Tekkit fun on the moon sort of thing. This weekly update won't be structured like the other two for the whole fact that I'm catching up here. Anyway, I also have an update video coming along explaining what I'm going to do with the channel. I'm planning on recording my writings and post them on YouTube. I feel this is my unique, compassionate thing that I can look back and be proud on and say it's my own work on my channel. I love writing, and I'm good at it, so I want to share it with the internet. Most papers I've written this year was for school, but I created some on my own. I have a few I'm going to share some time this week. Other than that, I'm planning a Tekkit series since I have been playing it nonstop the past five days or so, so I think I'm ready for an actual let's play for it. And that's it. I'll try to catch up more with the blog. Until then, goodbye!

The Weekly Update for January 12

Hey guys, Cdog here with another weekly update, let's get down to business!

Video News

So as far as videos go, I'm gonna upload a few tonight (or technically very early Monday morning around 1 am or such). I have a couple of Project Ares episodes with friends as well as a Block Hunt episode coming. I didn't make any new Civ V videos over the weekend, so it'll have to wait until Saturday at least. Until then, Minecraft! Back to the old roots. Other than tonight's videos, I'm planning on making some on the server since it has been awhile since we have made a video on there. I really don't have a plan yet, but we'll see as we progress through the week.

Other News

This correlates to videos a bit. This week for me may look like a full week of school for me, so I won't have as much time to make videos as I did last week, same with my friends. If we can't make any videos, I may just make Project Ares myself or something else cooler I find, but I'll search around.

Hey guys, Cdog here again! I'm here to alert you kind of a change of schedule this week, not moving anything, but adding more stuff. I just recorded a few PA episodes with friends and a bit of Block Hunt, so those will be uploaded sometime over the weekend. Also, Episode 3 of Civ V is uploading as I type, or at least publishing THEN uploading. So expect that tonight. Episode 4 tomorrow. So here's the remaining week's schedule:

The Weekly Update for January 7

Hey guys, Cdog here. Here is the Weekly Update for the week of January 7 (technically 5th, but other updates will be on Sunday rather than Tuesday). Here are some stuff that are going to go down for the rest of the week:

So in the matter of videos, at least 2 more episode of Civilization V will be released before I have to record more. The reason is that Civ V takes a lot of my hard drive space so I can only record so much per session before having to stop. The cropping problem with the videos, I'm still unsure. I'll look into it and try to fix it. Other than Civ V, I may record some Minecraft stuff this week concerning about Project Ares, most likely with the new map rotations I may be playing to show off each new map. So overall:

The next piece of news is an unfortunate one for me. Over the past few weeks or so, I ran into problems with YouTube's copyright system. I know this has been complained about over and over, but I never gave my thoughts on it. I have really never had a problem with copyright before, but recently I started to get copyright notices concerning about some of the music in my videos, specifically the 2 Civ V let's plays I uploaded. I had the sound turned up to around 70%, which is my mistake, so it was easily heard, and the copyright system caught the music as some others own music. I feel it's unfair to just notice me on it, even if it's not claimed or removed. I believe I have the right to upload these videos with the actually sound, considering it is the game's actually music. I think it's bull crap the game's music can be copyright in my video, considering the game uses music by others anyway. I understand they have permission, but why do I need permission to record with the game's sound? I want to use it so the entire video doesn't have to be me just talking to myself, and it's rather boring without sound either. Minecraft, I can live without. I play the game without sound constantly, but without it in Civ V is boring. Especially since why would they care what a 15-year old high schooler would upload? That's just being desperate. I'm not even making money off this video, so why does it matter? That is just my issue, I hope none of you are experiencing anything like that.

Return of the Blog

Hey guys, Cdog here, and I know it has been about 5 months since I last posted mainly because I just neglected it. I'm gonna start using it more often now, and I just want to let you know about that. Also, I finally got around to posting a few videos over the weekend, 2 of Civilization V and 1 Let's Rage currently uploading as I'm typing this. I'm no longer gonna list the schedule or upcoming videos or such, but recent videos will stay and will be updated tomorrow with this weekend's videos. Until then, goodbye!
